A Journey Through Struggle to Grace

Faith hasn’t always come easily to me. Growing up in a single-parent home filled with the struggles of neglect, parental substance abuse, and loss, I really didn't’ know God in those years, and I often felt lost in the midst of my pain. It wasn’t until later in life, as I looked back on my journey, that I realized He was there all along, working in ways I couldn’t yet understand.

My early years were marked by uncertainty and tribulations. There were times when I questioned God’s presence and struggled to trust in His plan. But through the difficulties, God patiently and lovingly guided me, showing me that His grace is sufficient even in the hardest of times.

Faith, I’ve learned, is not the absence of struggle; it’s finding God in the midst of it. It’s choosing to believe in His promises even when life feels overwhelming. Over time, I began to see His fingerprints in my life—in the moments of provision, the unexpected kindness of others, and the strength He gave me to keep moving forward.

Lessons From My Journey

If you’re struggling to find faith right now, I want to encourage you with a few lessons I’ve learned:

God Meets Us in Our Weakness: When I felt at my lowest, God showed up with strength and comfort. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Faith is a Journey, Not a Destination: It’s okay to wrestle with doubt and ask questions. Faith grows as we seek Him and trust Him with our struggles.

God’s Timing is Perfect: Looking back, I see how He used every hardship to shape me into the person I am today. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28

A Space for Growing Together

This blog is a reflection of the ongoing journey I’m on—a journey of learning to trust God more fully, to seek Him in the everyday moments, and to live in the light of His grace. My hope is that this space will be a source of encouragement for you, no matter where you are on your faith journey.

If you’re struggling, know that you’re not alone. I’ve been there, and I understand how hard it can be to hold on to faith in difficult seasons. But I also have recently come to know some of the beauty and peace that come when we surrender our struggles to God and allow Him to work in our hearts.

Thank you for being here. My prayer is that this page becomes a place where your faith is nourished, your struggles are met with grace, and your heart is strengthened by God’s love.

With love and grace,

Michelle
